Activity backdating

Who can use this feature?

 Only Admins can create and manage activities.

Accurate reporting of when activities are earned is important. This is even more critical if you are using the leaderboard to reward the top participants within a specific timeframe. For example, you don't want a situation where someone participates in training sessions in January but it only gets captured in February, it will appear that they performed the training in February and this might contribute to them missing out on getting a high spot on the leaderboard for January. You can get around this by enabling the backdating setting on an activity, this will allow you to capture an earned date when awarding the activity. This will make the activity appear to have been awarded on the earned date that you have specified instead of the date the activity was awarded.

Make sure that you are on the Rules tab of an activity setup page.

  1. Scroll down to the backdate activity section. Enable the backdate functionality by selecting Yes in the dropdown selector.

  2. You may continue editing other parts of the activity or choose to save these changes immediately buy clicking to the save tab and clicking the save button.
